This large 'letterbox' painting (12insx32ins) is at Brancaster Staithe at sunset, where my son proposed to his now wife. Difficulty with this subject was painting the scene then having to glaze areas into the background. I found this was the best way to gain some depth whilst still getting some textures into the shadows.
